Born in Rotterdam (1 June 1986), he played badminton at the highest Dutch level (Eredivisie) and specialised in doubles while also achieving singles success. After discovering padel three years ago, he quickly rose in the Dutch rankings; Padelclub Ridderkerk notes he now belongs to the country's top 50, while Padelready lists him 53rd with 1,000 points. He has won several P100 tournaments, including the Open Veerse 2025 and Van der Windt Heksenmeppers Open 2025. Michiel's enthusiasm, technical knowledge and personalised approach help beginners and advanced players improve their technique and game sense.
